Danish biotech startup Amass Technologies has secured €1.4 million in seed funding from Giant Ventures, Kost Capital, Export and Investment Fund, as the Copenhagen-based company scales its AI-powered platform that transforms scattered scientific data into a unified intelligence layer for life sciences workflows.Founded by Alexander Junge and Henrik Jensen, Amass addresses the persistent challenge of knowledge fragmentation in scientific research by creating a comprehensive AI-driven map of global scientific knowledge.
Their approach, DroidRun an open-sourced android automation. The platform integrates scientific data from various sources including patents, papers, regulatory filings, and internal documents into a structured knowledge graph that seeks to accelerate discovery and commercialization processes. Central to Amass's undertaking is their ability to connect disparate scientific elements and provide visualization pathways that underlie scientific advancements, helping researchers identify relationships between different pieces of knowledge that might otherwise remain hidden, e.g., a relationship between patents and papers.
The platform also offers tools for literature intelligence, competitive analysis, and AI-powered scientific Q&A designed for researchers, business strategists, and decision-makers across the life sciences ecosystem. Further, the company has appointed notable strategic advisors including Tommy Ahlers, former Minister for Science, Technology, Information, and Higher Education in Denmark, and Bodil Sidén from Kost Capital to its board, with Christian Thirion serving as Chairman. With the platform currently in early access for industry players, startups, and public institutions, the current funding will likely support their AI platform development.
