Cascade raises $3.5M to give construction firms project intelligence before the tender is published

Construction and engineering firms secure contracts through relationships and timing as much as through technical capability. By the time a formal tender is published, the project will usually have been in development for several months. For AEC firms that rely on public tender platforms and reactive outreach, the formal procurement process is a late indicator.

Cascade, which was co-founded by Hannia Zia and Joana Ferreira, has built a platform that tracks signals that precede formal procurement. Public filings, permits, budget announcements, property transactions, and government meeting minutes are continuously scanned and ranked according to their relevance to each firm's track record and stated capabilities. The result is an earlier view of the project pipeline, supported by go/no-go intelligence and AI-assisted proposal drafts.

Cascade has recently closed a $3.5 million seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz Speedrun, with the participation of Ada Ventures, Blitzscaling Ventures, Indico Capital, Shucker VC, G2C Ventures and Snowball VC. The capital will be used to expand the platform's data network and accelerate adoption.
