The Berlin-based start-up CERPRO has secured €2 million in pre-seed funding to expand its AI platform for quality assurance in manufacturing. Investors included seed + speed Ventures and D11Z Ventures, with additional backing from EIT Manufacturing and Techstars.
The company was founded in 2023 by Frederik Frei, Sascha Müller and Henrik Pitz, with the aim to modernise quality checks. CERPRO’s first product, QualiSpec, uses AI to understand and interpret complex technical drawings with a level of precision normally reserved for seasoned engineers. The platform can also automatically build inspection steps and create a shared digital database that links OEMs with their suppliers.
With this new capital, the company plans to improve its AI technology and grow its business across Europe. In the long term, the team's goals are to move past automated inspection planning and towards predictive quality tools and design-for-manufacturing insights.
