Digiclean raises €2.5M to bring real-time AI optimisation to industrial cleaning chemistry**

Industrial cleaning is one of the last unautomated processes in modern manufacturing. Factories have digitised their logistics and energy systems over the past decade, but the chemical processes underpinning industrial cleaning have largely escaped that transformation. Without automated oversight, facilities often use more chemicals than necessary, generate excess wastewater, and face unplanned downtime, all of which can affect equipment durability and product consistency.

Swedish startup Digiclean, founded by Charlotte Stigen Låstberg and Andreas Låstberg, has built a plug-and-play platform that brings real-time monitoring and automated dosing to a process that has changed little in decades. The system installs sensors directly into a factory's chemical baths to continuously analyse their composition, eliminating the need for manual testing. From there, the platform's algorithms automatically calculate and adjust chemical dosages in real time based on live sensor feedback. The result is a cleaning process that requires far less manual intervention while running closer to its actual optimal condition rather than a worst-case schedule.

Digiclean has just closed a €2.5 million seed round co-led by Unconventional Ventures and Almi Invest GreenTech, with S-E Bankens Utvecklingsstiftelse, Impact Shakers, and Feminvest Ventures participating. The newly acquired funds will support product development alongside commercial scaling throughout Sweden and other major European industrial sectors.
