Australian cybersecurity startup GovernSafe has secured $7.2K in total grant funding from Google ($2.2K) and Microsoft for Startups ($5K) as the Sydney-based company develops its AI-powered platform for automated pentesting, compliance, and governance across multi-cloud environments.

Founded in April 2024 by Sidharth Kaushik, GovernSafe addresses the growing complexity of managing security and compliance across multiple cloud platforms including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. The company goal is to unify advanced security pentesting, continuous governance, and intelligent compliance into one SaaS platform.

GovernSafe's approach centers on AI-driven security insights and continuous penetration testing to detect vulnerabilities while providing actionable remediation paths. The platform offers comprehensive visibility and control over cloud assets through no-code automation for orchestrating workflows and governance tasks across diverse cloud environments.

While the grant amounts are modest, the backing from Google and Microsoft for Startups validates GovernSafe's approach to solving critical challenges in cloud governance. As organizations increasingly adopt multi-cloud strategies, the need for unified platforms that simplify security, compliance, and cost optimization becomes more pressing, positioning GovernSafe to address this growing market demand.
