Australian AI start-up Hall has secured $2 million in pre-seed funding from Blackbird Ventures as the Sydney-based company accelerates development of its platform that helps businesses understand how they appear across AI systems.
Founded in 2023 by Kai Forsyth, Hall operates at the intersection of generative AI, marketing, and search optimisation. The company makes use of a new approach known as Generative Engine Optimisation, designed to improve the likelihood of a brand being cited in AI-generated answers from platforms such as ChatGPT. By continuously monitoring visibility across millions of AI-driven queries, Hall translates this data into actionable insights for marketing teams, enabling them to optimise digital presence and track impact on customer acquisition.
Central to Hall’s strategy is the integration of AI-powered analytics with traditional software development expertise. The platform supports capabilities in web and mobile application engineering, digital platform design, and SEO strategy. This combination allows businesses to enhance their standing in AI-generated content whilst maintaining consistency across search and digital channels.
The investment from Blackbird Ventures will be used to grow Hall’s engineering team, increase the scope of AI query tracking, and advance the platform’s reporting and analytics features. The company aims to position itself as a category leader in AI visibility optimisation, targeting global clients seeking to remain competitive as generative AI becomes a primary channel for information discovery.
