How Conxai is automating the AEC industry's workflows

April 21, 2026 - 2 min read

According to McKinsey, construction productivity has remained broadly flat for decades while other industries have advanced significantly. One key factor contributing to this is the fragmentation of project data across photographs, video footage, sensor readings, documents and CAD files.

Conxai (Germany) was founded to make this data usable by converting the information generated throughout the project lifecycle into actionable intelligence. Founded by Sharique Husain and Muralikrishna Sridhar in 2020, the company has developed an agentic AI platform designed exclusively for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) sector that does not require coding. Unlike general-purpose models adapted for construction, the platform is built around AEC-specific data types and processes. It pulls together information from unstructured sources, including site photographs, videos, sensor feeds, technical drawings and project documents, and uses this to handle knowledge-intensive tasks such as tender analysis and site monitoring. A module called SiteLens provides project teams with insight into on-site conditions, workforce deployment and equipment usage.

In April 2026, Conxai raised €5 million in a Series A round led by BayBG Venture Capital and Capricorn Partners, with continued participation from Pi Labs, Earlybird, Noa, Zacua Ventures, and Argonautic Ventures. The round brings total funding to approximately €7.7 million. The capital will support further platform development and expansion into North America, Europe, and Asia.

With construction remaining one of the least digitised major industries globally, and with project data losses representing a documented structural inefficiency, Conxai's workflow automation infrastructure targets an important gap.
