Australian start-up Human Health has raised $8.5 million AUD to further its mission of improving the lives of people living with chronic conditions. This funding round was backed by LocalGlobe, AirTree Ventures and Skip Capital, as well as David Shein. Other participants included Aliavia Ventures, Scale Investors and new angel investors such as Eric Salama, Arvind Rajan and Kristy Chong.
Founded in 2021 by former Canva product leaders Georgia Vidler and Kate Lambridis, Human Health aims to tackle the significant challenge of the lack of consistent and continuous support for chronic illness within the health system through the use of AI. The platform enables people with these conditions to record their symptoms, monitor the effectiveness of their treatments and receive personalised insights that they can easily share with their doctors.
The company is also developing HumanEvidence, a platform which will provide researchers with secure access to anonymised health data shared by users, thereby enabling large-scale observational studies to help accelerate clinical research.
