LegalTech startup Orbital secures $60 million to scale AI platform for property law

January 26, 2026 - 1 min read

Although broader legal technology has grown rapidly, the real estate sector has remained underserved due to its reliance on manual and document-intensive workflows.

Founded in 2018 by Will Pearce and Edmond Boulle, Orbital offers an AI-native platform that is specifically designed to meet the complex demands of real estate law. It merges advanced AI with spatial visualisation and property data, enabling legal professionals to automate tasks such as title reviews, boundary analysis and lease reporting. The platform's 'Orbital Copilot' acts as an AI assistant that replicates the analytical processes of a real estate lawyer, significantly reducing the time legal teams spend on property diligence.

The London- and New York-based start-up recently raised $60 million in Series B funding, led by Brighton Park Capital and with participation from other investors, including REV, The LegalTech Fund, Moderne Ventures, Grosvenor Group, and existing backers such as JLL Spark, Outward, and Seedcamp. The company intends to use the fresh capital to accelerate its expansion into the US market and establish new regional hubs.
