Clinicians spend a significant proportion of their working day on documentation. At the same time, waiting lists and administrative workloads are increasing, as are burnout rates among healthcare professionals. The combined weight of documentation and administrative work is a recognised driver of declining job satisfaction and burnout across the profession
OurMind, a company based in the Netherlands and co-founded by Paul Koning, Fredrik Gustafsson and Marco Ferraz, has developed an AI platform that records the clinical consultation as ambient audio, transcribes it in real time and generates a structured medical note that is pushed directly to the patient's record via EHR integration. The platform currently integrates with Medicom, and integration with Sanday is planned for 2026. Beyond documentation, the OurMind Assistant handles the surrounding administrative tasks: protocol questions, referral letters, sick notes, patient correspondence and inbox triage. Audio is deleted immediately after processing and transcripts are automatically removed after 72 hours. The platform is ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certified, and it is currently live at over 300 general practices and 14 hospitals across the Netherlands.
The company recently closed a €2.1 million funding round led by 4impact Capital, with general practitioners and medical specialists participating as co-investors. The capital will support scaling of the platform and fulfilment of growing demand from healthcare organisations.
