
Toronto-based NLPatent has secured $3M USD in its latest funding round. The investment was co-led by Draper Associates and Mighty Capital, with additional backing from The LegalTech Fund, Storytime Capital, and The 51 Ventures.
Founded by Stephanie Curcio and James Stonehill, NLPatent offers dedicated tools that help users explore, monitor and map patent information more quickly. Their search engine uses LLM technology to make it easy for customers to find important filings, follow new developments in technology and spot trends in innovation.
NLPatent plans to use the new funds to boost the development of new features and grow its presence in North America and Europe. The company also looks to invest in customer success and integrations, making it easier for IP teams to adopt its AI-driven tools without disrupting existing processes.
