Pivot raises $40M to bring agentic AI to enterprise procurement

May 21, 2026 - 2 min read

Enterprise procurement faces a structural challenge that predates the current wave of AI: spending commitments are scattered across email chains, spreadsheets, disparate approval tools and ERP systems that do not speak to each other until month-end reconciliation. This lack of coherent structure beneath the data makes automation difficult and effective deployment of agentic AI nearly impossible. Legacy procurement software has patched individual steps without addressing the underlying architecture.

Founded in Paris in 2023 by Marc-Antoine Lacroix, Romain Libeau and Estelle Giuly, Pivot has built what it describes as an AI operating system for enterprise procurement. The platform consolidates sourcing, approvals, purchasing, invoicing, payments, budgets, expenses, and reporting into a single ERP-integrated system, giving finance and procurement teams real-time visibility into committed spend before it becomes a reconciliation problem at financial close. The platform has been built from the ground up to support agentic workflows: enterprises can deploy custom agents via AI Studio, Pivot's in-house agent-building environment, and run any LLM against their procurement data through an MCP-native, model-agnostic architecture that requires no rearchitecting as AI models evolve.

Recently, Pivot closed an oversubscribed $40 million Series B round, co-led by Forestay Capital and Notion Capital and with participation from Greyhound, procurement industry executives, Hedosophia, the Visionaries Club and Emblem. This brings the company's total funding to $70 million since its foundation in 2023. The capital will be used for expanding into the enterprise market and integrating more deeply with ERP and financial systems.
