Prime Security builds autonomous AI agents to secure developer workflows

Engineering teams build software at unprecedented speed, especially with AI coding aids, but traditional security checks lag behind, leading to costly breaches and compliance gaps.

Prime Security, headquartered in New York and founded in 2023 by Michael Nov and his team, is building an AI-native security co-architect: a suite of autonomous agents that review planned engineering work and run security reviews. These agents ingest context from backlogs and design docs, map it against internal frameworks and standards, then return ranked risks with mitigation steps directly inside the tools developers already use.

A $20 million Series A in December 2025, led by Scale Venture Partners with Foundation Capital, Flybridge, and Eon’s Ofir Ehrlich, is now fuelling product expansion, go-to-market scale, and new agent capabilities.
