Modern products such as autonomous vehicles, drones and advanced industrial equipment are built using increasingly intricate hardware and software, making it more difficult to carry out traditional safety and reliability analyses.

Reshape Systems, a Switzerland-based CERN spin-out, is developing an AI platform to assist with risk analysis in complex technical systems. The company's software ingests engineering documentation and system descriptions, and then uses generative AI to structure risk assessments and highlight critical issues for review. The platform is therefore intended to significantly reduce analysis time and cost while improving reliability metrics for complex systems.

Founded by Andrea Apollonio and Thomas Cartier-Michaud, the start-up has just secured CHF 150,000 in funding from Venture Kick to accelerate product development and early market entry.
