Amsterdam-based Source.ag has secured $17.5 million in a Series B funding round led by Astanor Ventures. Strategic participants included Enza Zaden and Harvest House, pushing the startup’s total funding past $60 million.
Founded in 2020 by Rien Kamman (CEO) and Ernst van Bruggen (CCO), Source.ag develops AI tools to help greenhouse growers manage their cultivation environments more effectively. Focusing on enabling the large-scale production of sustainable, high-quality food, Source.ag’s AI software improves growers' workflow not only by helping them use their resources more efficiently and anticipating yields with precision. It also maintains consistency across growing cycles and maximises profit.
Source.ag will use the new funding to expand its AI technology into additional markets, enhance its product portfolio with advanced tools for greenhouse management and strengthen its partnerships with major growers and seed breeders.
