Although the circular economy has gained significant traction, the repair sector has long struggled with fragmented logistics and a lack of digital infrastructure.
Founded in 2023 by Indrė Viltrakytė, Tadas Maslauskas and Robertas Kalinkinas, the Vilnius-based company Tingit has developed an AI-powered marketplace aimed at streamlining the restoration process. The platform uses proprietary algorithms to analyse media uploaded by users (e.g. short videos or photos) in order to instantly identify damage, estimate costs and match items with specialist craftsmen. By automating the appraisal process and integrating seamless logistics through parcel locker networks, Tingit is making repairs more accessible and enabling consumers to extend the lifecycle of items ranging from footwear and luxury handbags to household appliances.
Tingit recently secured €1.5 million in seed funding led by Coinvest Capital, with participation from Firstpick, NGL Ventures and existing investors including Heartfelt, BADideas and Purpose Tech. The new capital will be used to accelerate the platform’s expansion across the EU, establish new hubs and strengthen integrations with e-commerce platforms and fashion brands, embedding circularity directly into the retail landscape.
