Swedish healthtech startup Tandem Health has secured $50 million in Series A funding led by Kinnevik, with participation from Northzone, Amino Collective, and Visionaries Club, bringing total funding to $59.5 million as the company expands its AI-native operating system for clinical workflows across Europe.

Founded in 2023 in Stockholm, the company's AI-powered medical scribe automatically generates clinical notes from consultations, eliminating the typing burden that consumes precious time with patients.

Tandem's AI assistant listens to doctor-patient conversations in real-time-whether in-person, video calls, or phone consultations, and creates accurate, compliant clinical records ready before the patient leaves the room. The platform supports several medical specialties and integrates seamlessly with major Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Egton Medical Information Systems (EMIS).

The company's growth has been remarkable, with tens of thousands of clinicians across Europe now using Tandem's technology. Through their partnership with Accurx, over 200,000 NHS professionals have access to Tandem's AI scribe, one of the largest healthcare AI rollouts globally. The platform reduces administrative workload by up to 80% while maintaining full GDPR compliance with EU-based data processing.

With this funding, Tandem is building beyond documentation toward a complete AI-native operating system that captures clinical codes, coordinates care, and supports decisions at the point of need. As healthcare systems worldwide struggle with clinician burnout and administrative overhead, Tandem's vision of removing friction to focus on human care becomes increasingly vital.
