The New York–based startup Teleskope recently received $25 million in Series A funding, led by M13, with participation from Primary Venture Partners and Lerer Hippeau.
Founded in 2022 by Elizabeth Nammour, a former security engineer at Airbnb, Teleskope is a data protection platform that uses artificial intelligence to detect, remediate, and prevent risks associated with the entire data footprint of institutions or companies.
Currently, its products are organized into two main branches. The first is its data protection platform, dedicated to detecting data and insecure points in the development process, with the goal of identifying, improving, and preventing them. The second is Data Classification as a Service, an API that safeguards and protects data as it is created or flows through systems.
With this funding, the company aims to accelerate its growth and enhance the capabilities of its products, with the aspiration of achieving deeper integration with cloud environments and data tools.
