Italian foodtech startup Tuidi has raised €3 million in seed funding, led by Vertis and Azimut Holding, with participation from QBerg, as the company scales its AI platform automating operations across Italy's €135 billion grocery retail sector.
Founded in 2021 in Putignano by Giulio Martinacci and Vincenzo Morelli, Tuidi was created to help grocery retailers manage the complexity of daily operations, from procurement and pricing to staffing and product assortment. At the center of their work is Delphi, an AI platform that functions as a "virtual store controller," processing millions of data points daily to anticipate consumer behavior, reduce waste, and optimize margins.
By integrating internal sales data with external variables like weather and local events, Delphi provides daily operational recommendations that have helped clients like Conad Centro Nord and Maiora. The platform currently manages over 620 million products across multiple retail locations.
The new funding will help Tuidi expand its client base across Italy's large-scale retail sector, enhance the Delphi platform's predictive capabilities, and build out the team as it transforms grocery operations from manual processes to AI-driven automation.
