VitVio, the London-based startup, received 8 million dollars last week in a seed round led by Bek Ventures, with participation from LDV Capital and Tiny Supercomputer.

Founded in 2023 by Thomas Knox, Peter Rennert, Maks Kozarzewski, and Aleks Pajewski, VitVio uses AI and computer vision to digitise operating rooms in 3D in real-time, capturing who is doing what during surgery.

Precisely, the company employs autonomous AI agents to reduce the administrative burden on surgical teams by automatically logging surgical phases, coordinating staff, and preparing operation notes, thereby aiming to improve hospital efficiency, safety, and ROI while ultimately seeking to assist clinicians to focus more on patient care.

With the funds raised, the company plans to expand its team to respond to the increase in demand.
