German technology company Warmwind has secured €1.5 million in Seed funding from Beteiligungsmanagement Thüringen and BRT Ventures as the Jena-based startup emerges from stealth mode with its AI-native operating system designed to automate repetitive office workflows for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Warmwind addresses a fundamental challenge facing SMEs, the need to automate digital workflows without requiring technical expertise or complex IT integration. The company's platform aims to act as an autonomous cloud employee that can perform tasks such as monitoring social networks, browsing the web for data, responding to emails, compiling reports, and handling customer support.

Warmwind's main approach enables no-code, visual automation where users can automate processes without programming or API integration. The AI operates like a digital worker, interacting with software interfaces by clicking, typing, and navigating, just as a human would, allowing it to automate virtually any software-based office task.

A major advantage for the European market is that their platform is built as a cloud-native, GDPR-compliant solution with all data being processed on German infrastructure. Crucially, Warmwind uses its own proprietary AI model rather than relying on third-party APIs, providing greater control and data security for enterprise customers.

Currently in closed beta, Warmwind has generated significant interest with over 12,000 people on the waitlist and several pilot customers actively testing the product. The funding will support the transition from beta to full commercial launch as businesses increasingly seek accessible automation solutions that don't require extensive technical resources.
