Zurich startup Ahead Health secures $6 million to expand AI-powered preventive screening

Health systems often still focus on treating disease once symptoms appear, even though conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular disease and metabolic disorders can develop silently for years. Routine check-ups rarely combine imaging and in-depth laboratory work, meaning that early warning signs are often missed.

Zurich-based Ahead Health, founded in 2024 by Nick Lenten, offers preventive check-ups that combine full-body MRI scans with extensive blood testing. They then use AI to analyse the data and provide personalised health insights, highlighting early patterns linked to cancers, cardiovascular risk, liver health, and metabolic health.

Ahead Health has recently raised a $6 million seed round led by RTP Global, with backing from Tiny.vc, Pareto 20 and other high-profile angel investors. The funding will be used to grow its team, open new clinics in other European cities and further develop the AI technology.
